While putting my test pipe on last night I noticed what appears to be oil or tranny fluid coming from where the driveshaft and transmission meet. Wondering what the cause of this is, how bad of an issue this could be and what needs to be done to fix it.

Looks like the tranny's rear oil seal is toast. To be sure, wipe it all clean and check it every couple of days. It could have come from seapage from a tranny fluid change. If there's no oil between the oil plugs on the tranny and the rear of the tranny, it's a good chance it's the oil seal.
I've never changed one, but it looks like it can be done with the tranny in the car.

It's the prop shaft cv joint leaking grease. I had the same problem. The grease gets liquid and either comes out from the rubber boot or through the prop shaft to transmission flange.

i had the same problem, i think its the bolts that bolt the propshaft to the transmission are backing out (had your clutch replaced or something?) the helm manual says to torque them to 24ft lb but if they arne't torqued to way past that, they will eventually loosen and back out and the cv joint will fling its grease out. YOu can re tighten the bolts and you'll probably be fine. if you take out the propshaft and can turn the cv joint side to side any (any play in it) and its already too late and will have to be replaced. unfortunately, honda doesn't sell the cv joint seperately, you'll have to buy a new propshaft from honda which is $800. you may be able to take it to a driveshaft/rear end shop and have them rebuild it though.

I know its been leaking like this for atleast 6 months now, give or take. There is oil/ grease on both sides of the underbody that are on both sides of the shaft/ tranny. Ill bust out my helms manual and see where the bolts are that i need to tighten and get on it right away. How would I know that its too late and that it needs repalcing??
