LOWEST final drive ratio available?
i was wondering what the lowest final drive gear ratio is available if one is looking for top speed. Of course someone would have to have a considerable amount of HP to utilize the gear to its fullest potential but I am trying to see whats available.
If anybody has any info on this and to what top speed it is good for, please chime in.

Mazda has a 3.636 that'll fit, from what I understand.
I think that would be right, not sure. Someone back me up with the aspects of top speed on those gears.

It's not like the stock car can even go the 167 mph that it's geared for, so why get all worked up about gearing it any faster? The amount of power needed to go that fast on level ground wouldn't get past the stock clutch anyway.

So the highest anyone can go on the currently available gearsets is 188.6 mph?

I considered putting that 3.636 final drive into my AP2 until I sold the car. It would have put the shift points for the lower gears very, very close to AP1 speeds (when taking the reduced redline into account.) (I preferred the taller gearing in the AP1.)

whoever does this i hope he or she runs their car on either a closed track or a closed air field. there is no point on going faster than 120 anywhere unless you're one of those "bigger is better"
