i was already thinking that. i installed a lightweight flywheel on a civic for a friend, and honestly it made the car suck. it droped recs to quickly and it just ran funny. we ended up putting in the stock one back in. i might to the TB, but not the flywheel.

but aren't those normally V8's? Since the S2k flywheel is already really light, 16lbs...most of the lightweight ones don't free up too much power. My comptech, weighing 9lbs might have free'd 1-2hp but its benifits are noticed elsewhere

Well I have a Cusco flywheel awaiting installation, so I'll give me 20 yen soon enough.
I agree, Honda might know best, but certainly other areas can be improved (exhaust, suspension, etc.). So maybe the flywheel is another area. The people that have them on the S2 sure like them.

I'll take a video of my car reving with the comptech flywheel and upload it here over the next few days...personally I love it, the car runs great with it. The difference it made for me was in response, especially when rev matching.

ok...here is a video of a lightweight flywheel. Forgive me, I was dangerous and doing so made very poor video quality...but you get the picture...since I was driving with one hand shifting was also quite slow and awkward. here is where to download the vid...its around 11mb quicktime and consists of: rev match downshifting, free reving below 5.5k, quick 5.5k stutterbox check 
, 1st-3rd accel (at 5000ft so I know my car is slow), and then a 4k-9k free rev resulting in flame...to bad you can't see it.
