Default Lowered seat rails installed on MY07

This is the best mod for normal sized people (6'2")
The difference is outstanding. For the first time, I can see the tach.
The install took all of 1 hour, mostly just being slow and careful not to bust or scratch anything.
I did dril and tap a hole in the cross beam of the Backyard rail to hold the smart airbag sensor. It is now set only to full charge, as my seat will be back all the time.
The quality is excellent, and the fit perfect. If you are thinking about this, don't wait like I did. I just cant get over how just the smallest height makes such a big difference in feeling.
Sorry.....no pics. camera batteries were drained.

Was there a specific position where you needed to place the air bag sensor, or did you just pick a spot a place it?

picked a spot. Made sure was away from any metal as best as possible. The smart bag only decreases the inflation rate when the seat is almost all the way forward with the stock rails. I really think that this is important only in the passenger seat when little kids may sit there.

Mess with the seat position sensor at your own risk. You are modifying an SRS component function, and may be hurt as a result.

No decent shop that has to deal with liability would touch this kind of mod.

I'd love to sit in one of these modified rail cars to see what all the talk is about. I am 6'2" / 210 myself and I fit perfectly and can see everything just fine.

or find a way to raise the steering wheel would help those who have hard time reading the tach?
