Lowered S2000; TOW allignment issues, any solutions?
Does anyone know if a correction kit to adjust the tow on the rear suspension of lowered S2000's? Camber is not my main concern, but TOW is. It looks like to me that all that may be needed is to machine a new forward bar on the rear suspension to (in my case) get rid of the pigeon toe for the rear wheels...
Any thoughts on this?

OBX makes camber kits now for front ($17) and rear ($120). That should fix your toe problem. Here's a site I found from google. http://www.streetstyler.com/CamberKits.htm

Adjusting the toe also changes your camber. If your toe is in or out too far, moving it back might not leave him much range for desired camber. That's why I suggested the camber kit for his toe problem.

I understand that in a perfect world, a little bit of tow in is wanted. However I was told after getting my car alligned, as I do regularly, that my tow on one side is completly maxed out and that they would try to make it the best they can. However if you look at S2000's that have been lowered and are sportin' WIDE tires in the back (255 or more) you will notice that the rear wheels are always "pigeon toed", and because of the geometry of the suspension, there may be no way to adjust the stock setup to correct this.
here's an example: if you lower the S2000, the lower the car goes, the more REARWARD the wheel travels inside the wheel well. Fairly common as I had the same problem with my 99 Accord Coupe. I finally ended up having a shop machine a set of control bars to replace one of the "five bar links" per side.
All I wanted to know is if I have to go through this again with my S. I realize there are "camber kits" out there, but usually these kits (unless they are ARM REPLACEMENT" usually move the TOP of the wheel OUT, not bottom in like it should be.
Now your turn.
