I would like to find a light weight CATBACK system. I have entered the word "Exhaust" in the search without any success.
I'm sure there have to be posts about the available systems and results of testing as well. The Comptech site has HP results but no weight comparisons.
Has anyone run straight pipes? Can you meet dB requirements without mufflers?
Any info that can be provided would be appreciated.

The Amuse R1 Dual is titanium from front to back and weighs only 15 lbs. Compare that w/ the stock that weighs over 50 lbs.
God awful price tho - about $2200 or so, plus shipping. Not sure how much the Mugen dual weighs, but I think I recall that it is in the ball park of 26 lbs. and costs well over $1,000.
ALL of the cannister type single outlet units that I've heard were VERY loud.
Not so bad for a few minutes driving or just standing next to car and listening, but some find the level of sound to be horrible on a long drive. Guess it also depends upon how much attention you want/need.
Also - as to claims of HP gains, with the possible exception of the Amuse Dual R1 Ti, none of the dual after market exhausts will get you any improvement in HP or torque. Supposedly, some of the singles (eg., the Spoon N1 single) do get you a few HP.
Randy - a few other options you have are single and dual exhausts from JIC. I have a few coming in at the end of the month in both Ti and Stainless Steel. If you want single or dual - the options are there, but not a full Ti dual system, only mufflers, for the time being. Expense wise, its not nearly as expensive as the other Ti exhausts.
Other options - Spoon single N1 in Stainless Steel (weighs in ~18-20lbs.). You'll shave off approximately another 10#'s if you want to go with the Ti single out.
I know when I was looking at exhausts back with my first S2000 only a few manufacturers had dyno proven increases in horsepower and torque - are there more out there now? I know Comptech had problems with increasing HP but losing torque when they did some of their first designs - it was hard to keep both up (okay, that sounds bad). Just curious...
