Low voltage from accessory fusebox
I have a Passport 9500ix hard wired to the accessory fusebox in the ignition on accessory terminal , and grounded to the main point ground point .
As I'm driving the voltage will drop low enough to kill the detector. Using the built in voltage meter, i'm getting a reading of 10-12.4 volts (it dies when it drops to 10). If I use the included cord in the cigarette lighter, I get a constant 13.5-14.2 volts. Any ideas? I checked all the connections and they're solid. All my other electric systems work so I don't think its the alternator.

What year S2000? My passport 8500 has been wired to that port for years. If I read the voltage via the detector it is never below 13v. My car is a 2002.

2002 as well. I tested the accessory box, got 13.9 volts for each. So I'm thinking its the wire itself that may be the problem.
