low rpm at idle

MR. T, the P0122 was cleared when I installed the new TPS for the first time, but the idle was rough even before then. The idle speed got worse after the TPS was set up to 0.45V (following the instructions that came with the part from Omnipower, which appear to be wrong). Now, after following Billman's suggestion to set the TPS to 6% (4.5V * 0.06 = 0.27V) the idle is correct; slight increase in RPM, not a decrease, when AC is turned on.

Chance S2K, there is no such thing as magic. There is an electro-mechanical explanation and I would like to know what it is.

this kind of makes me wonder if the tps is the root cause of a lot of idle problems.???

Like to think it isn't wizardry or black magic... but hard earned experience. Works for mechanics and surgeons.
