Low oil pressure at idle
For those of you have have rebuilt your engine or have had a similar issue: My bottom end bearings are newish Clearances are .0010" - .0015". My oil pressure at 3k is ~80psi but at hot idle it is around 16-18psi. I am turbo charged and running an external oil cooler, which drops the pressure 5psi. Not sure how much pressure is lost on the oil feedline to the turbo, but I cannot figure out how honda gets 35psi as the spec, at idle. I run rotella T6 for oil and my idle is 1000-1100. which my pressure would be even lower if my idle was 800 like honda specs
I checked spec'd the oil pump when I rebuilt the bottom end and it was fine so im not sure what im missing here. My only thought is that maybe oil pressure relief valve piston(not the spring) in the oil pump is worn a bit allowing some oil to seep around making for the lower idle pressure.

35 psi hot idle ? For an oem car that seems a bit high. At idle my race car sits at 25ish psi and I have a stock motor. If ur at 18psi I wouldn't be surprised as that seems reasonable with an external cooler.
If in doubt, bypass the cooler and see if this brings it up even more than the 5psi loss.

Your idle speed is a little higher than stock, so you should have more oil pressure at idle than Honda specs. I doubt that the pressure relief valve piston could pass that much oil to lower the pressure 10 to 15 lbs. it would have to be "wiggle loose" to drop the pressure that much. First thing I'd do is take the oil filter off and cut it open, if the filter is clean then I wouldn't worry to much about it.
