Low idle?
Okay I have a MY 00 with almost 68K miles. The car, up to this point ran fine. The car runs fine but, when i come to a stop and the car idles...it sometimes just stalls or idles to 1 bar on the tachometer. I just tried the MAP whack and reset the ECU but, still the same thing happens. Any ideas? What could it be and what will it take to get it running back to normal.

and when the recall was fixed my problem with low idle is gone?

One bar as in 1000 revs or the bar where it's near stalling?
a warm car should stabilize idling at around 800 - 1000 revs (correct me if I'm wrong on this)
Not sure where the Idle Adjustment screw is on a S2000 but that might help.

My car had the same problem at 70K miles. I was able to fix my issue by purchasing some throttle body cleaner. I cleaned it per the instructions from a thread on s2ki and then pulled my backup fuse for a few minutes for my ECU and I never had that issue again. I gave the map sensor a whack to make me feel better also.
I was having to heel/toe just to get my car home. It was great practice, but I was happy when it went away.
