Low compression
Hey guys, so I've owned my s2k for about 10 months. Bought it from the dealer with a warranty. The check engine light came on like 2 months after me owning it and they said it was a coil in cylinder one so I had it fixed then the check engine came on again the next month and they said oh you should do the valves so I had the valves done. Then the check engine light came on again and they said "idk take it to Honda" so I did and kinda said it has low compression in cylinder 1 cause air is leaking out of the exhaust valve. They said my warranty might cover it as long as it's not because of carbon buildup but the only way to find that out is to do a 900 dollar tear down. I'm a broke college student and can't afford to pay out of pocket. What do you guys think could be the problem with it? Think it is carbon build up?
It's an 03 with 77k miles and no mods

Who is "they" and have they refunded your money? You might be better off buying a used ap1 complete head and just replacing it that way. Of course if you aren't comfortable doing the job, then find a local to do it on the cheap
