low clunk noise from diff?
When Im cruising and usually right after I shift, I can hear a low clunking noise and it sounds like its coming from under the car. Its not loud and I can only hear it sometimes. Could it be the diff? If I need to post more info, let me know.

I think we have the same problem... It's usually when I'm just engaging 1st gear. sometimes I hear it in 2nd. sometimes worse than others.... sometimes non-existant.
help anybody? If nobody chimes in I'll ask people at the south florida meet this coming weekend and post comments.
thanks.

It's your rear axle blots there is a Hoda TSB. They are torqued 30 lbs short. It takes about 30 minutes and $50 bucks at any tire shop or Honda dealer. I got mine done after over a year of that noise and maybe it's just in my but there is less vibration during hard acceleration.

I have the same noise, and I also notice it more when engaging 1st gear from a complete stop, sometimes I also hear it when upshifting to 2nd at low rpm. I have never really worried about since I think its normal.

Try holding in the clutch pedal for 2-3 seconds before putting it into a gear. Then it will most likely not happen.
There are a few threads about it, its a normal thing, not much we can do about it.
