Default Loud noise with Comptech supercharger

I was coming home from work today and I hear this very loud buzzing sound coming from behind me where the convertible top goes down. I can hear it distictly outside the car also. Im guessing it is the fuel pump but I dont know why it is so loud since I have never heard it in the past. It is a very hot day today (95 degrees) and I dont know if that would have anything to do with it. I also put some gas in about 20 minutes before I heard the noise. Does anyone know what this could be?

Thanks

Matt

Its a normal characteristic of the fuel pump Comptech included in the kit. The fuel pump always makes the buzzing sound. However, an increase in noise is normal especially if one or more of the three conditions apply...

The car has been under load for a sustained period of time.
Ambient temperature is around a 100F.
You are running the car on a nearly empty fuel tank.

If the fuel pump stops making noise, then I'd be worried.

Mine does the same exact thing from time to time. Called comptech and they said it was searching for fuel. It pretty much does it till the engine cools down.

Im yet to hear anything from my pump (touch wood). I almost feel like it's not doing it's job when it's quiet.

Mine used to do this quite often as well... Then when i striped the car down earlier this year i discovered that one of the 3 philips head screws that hold the fuel tank cover down was loose. I tightened it up and no more loud noise. You can still hear it but its not very loud and you cant hear it from outside the car like before.

I just ordered a Comptech S/C today but they said it is on back order until the 15th. Didn't ask what month but I hope they meant this one. Anyway, is there anything else that the supercharger will do to the car out of the ordinary, besides more power? Things like ruff idle, rattling shifter, fuel or oil consumption, or anything along those lines. This is my first FI mod.
What guages are most important, I know boost but I dont know what other guages are needed? I only want 2 maybe 3 guages.
One more question and I know there are other posts but replacing the bypass valve with a blow off, is it really useless?
