loud noise
when i put my differential back in from getting it rebuilt, this noise started. it does it when i have been driving the car for more than 5 minutes and the discs get warm, it gets louder as car decelerate and i can not hear it while going on a speed faster than 8mph.
i have checked for the following;
1- brake pads are new....
2-i have tested the wheel bearing to see if that was the problem.. nope..
3- disc does not look like is worn out.
other thing that i wanted to mention is that when i took the differential out i had to take lower ball join off the control arm for the axles to slide out. when i put the lower ball joint arm back on i had to jack it up, cause it wouldn't make it all the way through the hole.
here is the sound...

Is there anything rubbing on the abs sensor gear rings. The tick-tick-tick at the very end sounds gear-ish. It sounds like metal-to-metal. Check the brake dust shields.

IDK. Can you get it to make the noise with the rear end on jack stands? It's hard to tell what's happening without being there. That sounds like dry metal to metal contact. Did you fill the diff all the way?
Are you're cv joints good?
Look for rub marks on everything.
It does sound like a chattering brake though. Did you grease the shims and check the sliders? See if one wheel feels hotter after a short cruise.
Sorry for the ADHD post. Just throwing out ides.

what exactly was your test to determine it wasn't the wheel bearing? that's almost exactly what mine sounded like...
i also jacked the car up right after it was making the noise and the sound is not there.
the noise only comes from the left rear tire.

yeah that's what i was afraid of. the simple test is fine for diagnosis if there is play. the problem is, no play doesn't necessarily mean that the bearing isn't bad.
all i can go on for wheel bearings is my own experience plus what i've picked up from others.
mine was bad, only started making noise when it got warm, and sounded almost exactly like yours. i had no free play during the 'simple test.'
