ug, well i have a ase cert mechanic coming to check it out tomorrow night, i have a feeling its the input shaft or something with the bearing assembly in the tranny

I experienced the exact same sound you are describing. I also believed it to be the input shaft bearing, or something internal inside the tranny.
Unfortunately I can't be of any more help because I ended up just swapping out the tranny for another one and never did find out what the exact problem was.
But for what it's worth, replacing the tranny did remedy the problem.
Good luck man hopefully you can pick up a low mileage used tranny for a good price, should be cheaper than a tranny rebuild.
