a lot of rear creaking during braking
Sorry if this sounds like every other loose spindle nut post, I searched but couldnt find my exact symptoms.
When coming to a stop, the passenger rear wheel creaks only under braking - not just once or twice, but however many rotations the wheel needs before it stops, could be 10, could be 20....light braking or heavy breaking, it doesnt matter. The rhythm of the creaking is comparable to a card in a bike spoke as the wheel gradually slows to a stop, if that helps.
The noise comes and goes and it seems to be independent of any various weather/road conditions. I already took the car to Honda and they supposedly checked the torque specs on the nut and all was OK. They said the brakes check out fine too. They couldnt do much because the wheel wasn't making the noise when they drove it (just my luck).
It's making the noise again so I'm about to schedule another dealer visit, just wanted to get some opinions from you all first. Hopefully the noise doesnt disappear when I get there again.
Thanks.
Jason

Are there grooves visible in the rotors?
On either side?
(remove the wheels to inspect fully)
Maybe you have picked up a stone or something and that stone is wedged in between the pad and the caliper touching the rotor?
How thick are your pads?
Maybe its the wear indicator.
(again, remove wheels to inspect all pads)
I'm not sure if OEM pads have them or if the pads you use have them.
Worth checking though.
Or a loose wheel balancing weight.
