Lost power due to ignition retard in high heat
Car and Driver noted this in an article on a Mugen S2000 a couple of years ago. Mugen said one of their computer upgrades, plus an intake, header, and exhaust--along with a new thermostat and radiator cap would eliminate this problem. Is this true? Is there another, cheaper way?
Is this a Honda thing. A VTEC thing? My brother's 350Z is unaffected by even Florida heat.

Mugen ECU simply IGNORES the readings from OBD2 sensors so it wont be any regarded timing due to harsh driving condition. Its not a problem of a stock S2000, stock ECU tends to play more on the safe side.
