i have an AP1 with exhaust and intake. When i accelerate, it pulls nice and hard, vtec engages normal and you can feel/hear it. But around 8k you can start to feel the power fade away...its totally pointless to even rev all the way to 9,000.

What do you think it could be? i have raced a stock AP1 and im a tad faster, just up top it feels weak...

I have yet to change my spark plugs so im hoping thats it, can i just go to autozone/advanced/o' reileys and ask for the OEM NGK's or should i get a specific plug?
totally normal, our AP1's are known to do that since we lose power as we climb high in rpms

Yeah, I'm sure that's it. Why not go to the dealer and buy a new one?

(Just a hint here, this car doesn't even have a fuel filter....)
Umm...go ahead and go to the dealer.

Majestic Honda Parts Diagram (Fuel Tank)

(...another hint, it's in the gas tank, just like a Lexus IS300 and a few other cars. It's NOT the "fuel screen", or the "fuel pump". It's an actual filter...)

OEM P/N: 16010S84A01

The fuel filter should be replaced whenever the fuel pressure drops below the specified value (320 - 370 kPa, 3.3 - 3.8 kgf/sq.cm, 47 - 54 psi ) with the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose disconnected and pinched) after making sure that the fuel pump and the fuel pressure regulator are OK.

just as an update, i changed my plugs with OEM NGK Laser Platinum and gapped them to around .44/.45 and changed the PCV valve and wooooooooooo its a ton better

it pulls harder now (at least to 8,500) and doesnt feel AS weak up to 9,000

definatly not all in my head, it improved it, im positive.

the oem plugs are specially design for our car, there's no other plug you can use that will give you more(unless you are running FI or built NA)

dont even start with the PCV valve

i dont know why u gapped the plugs bc ur not suppose to gap the oem ones...it has a fine tip that you'll just screw up. It says it on the box. And the only other plug that would be better is the new pulse plugs they have out

Running rich is "good" to be safe. Leaner is better for power, but riskier than running rich.
