Losing no oil normal?
#11
Have 4600kms on my 2005, first 2000kms(approx) done in a very measured
fashion to break-in the mechanicals, next 2600kms I drove in a spirited
fashion- checked oil every fill-up and not a drop used. Never had this happen
on any car I have ever bought- very impressed.

My AP1 has 80k of hard driving and didn't burn a drop of oil except when I tracked it. Even that burning went away when I intalled Krank vents, which eliminated the oil being sucked into the intake on hard turn throttle transitions.

No. If you feel your car falls under the "severe" schedule, then you did the right thing.
BTW, just a bit of a nitpick. You should have changed the oil and filter at 6 months or 3750 miles, whichever comes first. In your case, TIME will always supercede mileage. However, a 2 month delay is not something I'd lose any sleep over.

I don't consider losing no oil as anything to be worried about, so as far as looking out for anything, just go by the maintenance schedule that applies to your type of driving. Once you've determined that, then go to the column that corresponds to the age of your car and jot down all the stuff that is there and before that time and do the things that are listed. Most of those will be inspections anyway.

hmmm... i have about 81k on my MY00 and i don't burn ANY oil at all, i've used mobil 1 full synthetic during the cars life, and it seems to be working well.... i think some motors just might use a little oil, its really nothing to worry about, unless its more than a quart or something...My friend has a 2002 and his burns about a 1/2 qt ever 3k miles, and his car definitely runs just as well as mine.
