Default losing 30 miles or more per tank?

Hey S2K family, recently ive been losing about 30+ miles per fill up. My car has 52,000 miles and ive been keeping up with regular oil changes and what not. I havent done any major service such as spark plugs and valve adjustment (waiting until i hit 60,000 miles). Recently my car had a exhaust leak but it was fixed and my car ran out of gas about a week ago and died on me. The car runs fine but im getting less miles per full tank. Any ideas?

Do the math to figure actual MPG.

The car has a pretty big range for acceptable MPG.

The last time I had that much drop in MPG was when one of my fuel injectors developed a leak. You could smell gas though when you drive, its even stronger smell when you open the hood after a drive. Worth a look. Another thing to look for is another leak at your exhaust system, that could affect your MPG as well.
