Default loosing power

hi,

since couple of days i have noticed that when i floor the throttle in 1st or 2nd the car feels like if some one is pulling it from the rear and not letting me accelerate, the rpm rise but the car is not accelerating as it normally does the feeling when the car runs out of fuel, and this happens till red line , even with vtec engaged. this happens 5 out of 10 times after 1 or 2 hours of driving ( not fast just normal driving).
at times its fine and accelerates normally.

my JDM AP1 03's got 28000 KM ( 18000 miles) stock clutch, only upgrades i got is a mugen exhaust, Invidia Test Pipe and k&N intake.

i guessing it the fuel pump?? coz its like my car is out of fuel when i give it the beans, or its the clutch which im guessing is almost dead. [B]

appreciate the input .

thanks

osman

ITs definitely your clutch if you explained it right.

yeah, sounds like the clutch. though you would have to be a pretty big ass hat to burn a clutch out in 18k mi.

its just i feel a loss of power when i push the accelerator from a slow rolling speed....as i said before the rpm's climb but it feels like well ummm im not getting the power which the s2000 makes....like i just ran out of fuel or as if some is holding and im forcing the rpm's.

the guy who checked my car said its the fuel pump. but i agree with u guys that it might be the clutch, NO worries ACT street clutch kit is on the way plus a walbro fuel pump with new filter.

hope this will solve the problem.

sorry to be such a pain

get a new mechanic, if he said fuel pump, then he is terrible

also, don't install walbro w the sock it comes with, the only thing you should exchange is the actual pump itself, reuse everything else stock honda that you already have
