Bingo. The code was reading missfire. I pulled out the plugs, one of the thingies that connects to the plugs was half incinerated. How much do those guys cost? Do dealerships stock those? Everything's closed today.
Ummm . . . . thingies???

Picture-ies???

AutoZone doesn't sell thingies. And if it's only half incinerated, you should still be good to go. With a half-life of 4 years, 7 months, you have plenty of time before they get to a dangerous level of incineration.

You'd be right, except that by "half incinerated," I meant half of it was incinerated. I didn't mean that the whole thing was half incinerated. Sorry, I should have been more clear. Douche bag.

Anyway, the thingies I'm talking about are the things that you push onto the spark plugs after you've screwed them (the plugs) in. I guess I'll find out what exactly they're called and how much they cost tomorrow when I go in to buy a new one.

Am I right in assuming that everything should be fine aside from the aformentioned "thingy" and the spark plug?

Thanks for the help, everyone.

I agree with the reading code first. But if it comes to the fact that there is a valve issue you would have to open up the head in order to know for sure.

The "thingie" your refurring to is called a coil pack. It would be a good idea to replace all the spark plugs as well.

here ya go
