Cordless Passport FTMFW (with rechargeable batteries) <not paying 5bucks for 2 AA everytime it goes dead.

They are nice but with such a short distance.

Nice write up, it took me about 15 minutes to do. Only suggestion is to use a torque wrench if you are having problems getting the first set of screws off. When I was looking at the manual of how to fix it, I was scared I would have to take apart the entire center console. This way is MUCH easier!

My 12v source came apart yesterday. I thought I was going to have to remove the center console or something...luckily a quick search led me here

Wow thanks for the post bro mine is loose and I was looking at everything dreading
taking all those panels and the center console out to fix it this sure makes it easier
and I'm guessing it wont be the last time I need to do it

Just repaired the GF's 2001... she said it had been that way for a while but didn't say anything. Wish i had this writeup tho... took apart a lot more than i needed to lol.

So far mine in my 2005 is just fine.
