Looking for DIY for trunk release button in glovebox
Does anybody have the link to the DIY? I've been unable to find it with search.

I did this mod that allows you to use the key fob to open doors and trunk when the car is running, I think it allows you to use the glove box button as well , I've never tested the trunk button since doing the mod, but I just use the key fob it's much easier.

Oh sorry if I wasn't clear. What I meant was, the oem trunk release button is in the glove box.
What I want to do is make it so if the ignition isn't on, the switch will have no Power. Currently the trunk release switch works all the time.

Rewire the trunk switch to a wire that only gets power when the car is on. If you don't have a meter or the schematics your easiest solution would be to the stereo power antenna wire or the wire you ran to the remote turn on for your amp if you have one.

Since the accessory outlet is right there and that isn't powered unless the ignition is on, power it from there.
