Thumbs up Longest Lasting Caliper Paint

Hey guys, well I have to change out my brake pads soon, and have always hated the finish on my calipers. I just want to know whats the longest reported lasting paint track/street use and where to get it. Also should I go with berlina on black calipers or berlina on silver calipers??? thanks

My VHT engine enamel has lasted for 3 years, and looks as good as the day I painted them. Each caliper has about 9 coats of paint. These pics were taken 2 and half years after they were painted.

This may sound cheap and stupid, but I used engine paint, due to its high heat properties. If you really clean and prepair the calipers well engine paint will work quite well. I put 1 primer coat and 2 coats of color back in 2002 and they look great. Just a suggestion.

Its not stupid, thats what you are supposed to use. Caliper paint is the same as engine paint, except it costs 3 times more. Painting my calipers cost me $9.

I had mine High Temp PowderCoated.

Here are the brackets.

Here is what happened to the BBQ paint the previous owner put on after I tracked the car about 8 times.

Buffed up and cleaned.

Brackets media blasted before being PC'd.

I am about to use blue (think project mu blue) engine enamel on the calipers, then put Decal girl's s2000 stickers on the calipers, then use engine enamel clear coat. I hope this will work!

I have bad news Decal Girl says they don't make the decals anymore. You may want to recheck that to be sure.
