Default Little RPM bounce

Just getting use to the car this week and I had the tach flash red on me twice.

Both times it was going from 1st to 2nd. First just comes up so darn fast!

I believe when I put in the clutch I didn't get completely off the gas and it bounced. I believe JUST, but hard to tell.

Is this a big problem? How concerned just I be that this has happened, or might happen in the future.

the red marks after the redline flashes when you hit the limiter or just about to hit it. it' normal.

i'm not sure if this is what you're referring to or not cause it's a little hard to understand your typing.

That's what I meant. Sorry for the bad explanation.

yea thats not bouncing, that just means your somewhere passed redline, and you will feel when you hit the rev limiter, that might be the bouncing your talking about, the rev limiter is pretty close to the red line on the S so there is not too much room for error

even bouncing off the rev limiter, on acceleration, is not a big deal. It is planned for, and racers do it regularly. The car cuts out fuel delivery so you cannot over-rev ( on acceleration). The flashing is sort of like a shift light, just getting your attention.

You've done nothing wrong. Don't sweat it.

Ok good to know. I knew the limiter was close to red but I've never bounced off one before. It must just be so close there's no room for error.

Glad I haven't done any damage

OK back to having fun!
