Now, I have been reading that there are some gears you can buy to replace the stock internals of the differential, so what does that do? What is the advantage of the new gearing, better acceleration, top speed, better gearing in general?

That would be the 4.77 Gears from Rick or someone like that i guess. They provide better acceleration, simply put. I'll let the more technical guys input from now
