Default lil hesistation

like i said my check engine light will come on when im at or around 7 or 71/2 rpms when i get to that rpm it kinds bogs and wont go any further..my buddy is saying its because of the altitude?

First things first. Go to the auto parts store, buy a cheap OBD2 code reader, and see what the code is. Don't clear the code till you know what it is.

It is sounding like a classic map sensor issue, but it's all guesswork without a code.

The S2000 computer can "learn". It will change the A/F ratio to work better with your altitude, that shouldn't be a factor. Like Bill said, check it. The auto place should have one they can use on your car for free. Auto zone and Advanced do.
