I got some black rays light weight lugs,(not cheap) and torqued them to 80lbs, then drove 60 miles and retorqued them again, no lock tight. On my way to work today I hear a rattle and feel a clunking under slight left turns. At work I discover that three of the five lugs are gone , It is back to heavy metal for good now, it would suck to have a wheel fall off at 100mph.....

Matt,
Is there anyway someone could have gotten to your wheels? I once had my lugs loosened on one side (except for the locking lugs) of my Integra. It was pretty clear someone was working to steal the wheels.

glad you're okay Matt - I'd of shat my britches if only two were left..... good thing you weren't driving a 4-lug civic
Personally I think lightweight lugs are like having one 25 cent coupon when you buy 200 dollars worth of groceries. Unless you by them to match your wheels of course

Sorry to hear you had a problem with those lug nuts.
I have the Rays lugs and love them. I got them because I needed black lugs (but the fact that they're featherweight is a nice bonus). Haven't had any problems with them. And unlike some cheaper lightweight black lugs, neither the lugs nor the key strip.

I've got the lightweight (aluminim) Spoon lugs and have no problems for quite a few thousand miles, so don't blame this simply on "lightweight lugs", sounds like something else.
As for black lugs, the OEM NSX lug nuts are JUST like our stock lugs, only black (painted). So, that's one of the best options for getting black lugs on an S2000. I believe the NSX lugs sell for $4-$6 per lug from Acura.
