Yeah, as I said I have a line on one for $1000 I'm going to go see tomorrow. I'm thinking the QJ would be a good addition to my garage which would let me work on my pickup and the wifes Charger as well. They list the weight of my 2010 dodge ram 1500 at 4500-5500 pounds, I'm hoping it will still pick it up! It says 5000 pounds but I think there is a little leeway there... the Charger is 3900 -4400 pounds.

I don't think it will have trouble with the weight. The issue will be the length between the jacking points on the other cars.
Quickjack sells an extension that can add about 6" to the length which may be enough.
I think a lift is essential for DIY maintenance on a car even my "just fluids" type preventive maintenance. Despite appearances I don't get a commission from EZcarlift. There's little difference between safe and safer. And our perceptions. I ain't going under a car on jack stands if I don't have to for example. Glad you're not going under either.

Will it work in a driveway? It looks like it relies on those little bitty metal wheels to roll along ground as it lifts. Fine on cement garage floor, but my garage too small to work in (18.5' x 18.5', with an suv and all my tools and my S, no room left to work). So I do everything in driveway.
Second question, will it work on a slope? I guess its similar question for quickjacks. Driveway has significant slope.
The quick jack looks nice, but it looks like it would get in the way for a lot of jobs.
I've been using it for years. Short of pulling the transmission out, I can't think of any job you're likely to do that it would get in the way of. I've dismantled the entire suspension, replaced clutch slave, master, and line, removed exhaust, prop shaft, differential, replaced drivetrain bushings, etc.
Another vote here for the quickjacks. I’ve used them for 3 of my vehicles (s, ford escape, keep compass), haven’t tried my 1500 Silverado yet. I got the 7000lbs version so I can use it for the truck though. Haven’t run into anything I’ve had an issue with yet. Easy to set up and tear down,even if they can be a little heavy moving around after you work on a car for 6 hours.
So those of you that know me know I'm not afraid to travel for stuff and yesterday was no exception. Located a used Quickjack just north of Atlanta which is almost 5 hours away, road trip time! We headed out about 8;30 and got home about 7:30 so it was an all day adventure. But I got an almost new BL-5000SLX from a guy who says he only used it one time and it looks that way, still shiny even the hydraulic hoses are still shiny, all the fittings looked like brand new and all have their protective caps. $1000 for all so I'm thinking I did pretty good! The guy even threw in a brand new creeper and a couple large drip pans!
