Left Rear wheel Hott?
Drove to the corner store today, when I got home I could tell something was hot from the left rear, and noticed my wheel was very hot.I am thinking the brake was sticking or somthing.I did not drive with the E-brake on,and It was a fairly short trip.I havn't done any work on the brakes since last year "brakepads". any Ideas?

A pad is dragging or the bearing is going out. Can you hear anything? Jack the rear up and see if the wheel has drag to it or see if you can feel any roughness in the bearing.

Wheel has drag, and I don't hear any noise. So, I took it off. and the brake pad was dragging or stuck? now I have them off and I took the caliper apart and I don't know where the slider bolt that is smooth goes,I didn't know they were differant until it was to late. now ,I still don't know why the brake pad was rubbing.and now I am stuck.... help? lol

Smooth on top. The pins need to be greased and free to slide. Also make sure the grooves that the pads sit in and slide are not all corroded. The caliper piston could possibly be seized too, but thats not as likely.

I used to sell brakes ... my first guess is a seized/sticking caliper. Need to get a rebuilt caliper.
I have followed cars and could smell the burning brakes ahead of me. Sometimes you can see smoke pouring out the wheel well (Ford Mustang).
