Is there a DYI explaining how to take the controls out in order to gain access to the bulbs?

autolumination now has tall Type B style lights, which I would think will get rid of the brightness issue. Are all four bulbs on the Climate Control side long/tall or just two of them?

Please read my revised OP, as Type B bulbs are now available in the proper length for the Air Conditioning controls (Thank you M00C0W25 for telling me about this)

Once again you will require a total of 4 Type B bulbs in this installation.

I just made some measurements on the original Bulbs. I am not 100% sure that the tall Type B's will fit in direct replacement of the black base orange tip bulbs (2 of the 4) that are on the AC side of the dash. The replacements measure in at 19mm where as the original black based bulbs stand at a height of 18mm at their tallest (the rubber tip of them gives room to move of about 1mm). As for the 2 white bulbs on the AC side there should be no issue replacing them with the tall Type B version as they originally stand at 22mm so there is still room for the 19mm replacement.

If someone wants to check this that would be awesome

For visual purposes, Left to right: Tall Type B white Base, Tall Type B Black Base, Tall Type A, Short Type A.

What if (just to be on the safe side), we use in place of the type B "medium" black bulbs we put a pair of type B short ones (12mm tall) ? and just use 2 Type B Long (19mmtall) to replace the 2 longest white ones?

Is this what you did?
wonder how the light would look like? uneven?

I'm sure if you use all 4 type B tall ones (19mm) those two will be considerably brighter than the rest, since they will be soo close....

The "medium" black ones seem to be for the "AC/ REC" and FAN Buttons is this correct?
Those two long white ones are for the knobs?

And besides those two bulb size, you would say that EVERYTHING else [radio unit (5 bulbs) & start button (1), defrost (1), cruise (1), Roof (1), hazards (1)] would use the same type A bulb am i correct? all of these are same sizes?
Either way i just checked and there is no such thing as long type A LED replacement anyways so I'm assuming you did all short type A?

Thanks again for the help
