Leaking valve cover gasket

Leaking valve cover gasket
I decided to find another dealer for service since my miserable experience with Vandergriff Honda. I took my car to Frank Kent Honda to have the valve cover gasket looked at since it has been leaking a bit. With my factory service coverage about to expire soon now is the time. The techs agreed to replace the gasket free of charge and will check / adjust my valves for $60-$70.
Does this seem reasonable?
I'll have to wait until Tuesday for an appointment (the gasket isn't in stock).

This sounds reasonable and you will be saving money since they're already covering the labor of R&Ring the valve cover. It took me about 2.5 hours to do a valve adjustment - about half of that time was getting the valve cover on and off. It's a real bugger!
Note that it is possible to scratch the cover when removing it, so carefully check the beautiful red crinkle paint on the cover when you pick up the car.

Great to hear that valve adjustment is so cheap on these S2000's. Earlier in my checkered history, one of our cars was a '98 Mazda Millenia. The owner's manual said to check the valve adjustment at 75,000. The dealer candidly advised me never to consider doing that. Checking the valves would have required removing all the drive belts, the supercharger, the whole top of the engine, for about $2000+. The recommendation was that if there was no noise, leave it alone. The S2000 engine is in many ways very simple to work on, and I am glad to observe that. I will gladly pay the modest money for valve adjustment when 105,000 comes up.
