Which side? And out of curiosity, how are you driving your car--any particular driving habits that is causing these to blow up?

The first time it went bad was when I bought the car it had already busted(113k miles), I put a used one on there, and I just ordered a brand new OEM one. The used one lasted a year and a half. I autocross occasionally take it to the track twice a year, mostly DD. Only the driver side mount busted. The others are fine from what I can tell, I heel and toe, and rev match all the time. I'll just chalk up the used one going bad from it being old, it was used and I have no idea how many miles had been put on it, I'm sure a brand new one will last 100k miles if driven properly.

I am starting to think the heat and abuse breaks it down so fast. The passenger side is fine and its further from the exhaust. Maybe heat wrapping the exhaust in this area would be a good idea

Nah, then what about people with single exhaust? How come their driver side goes bust before the passenger. I think it's second gear that puts the most wear and tear on the mount.

Just swapped all of mine. I went used and got very low mile ones from a very reputable member, except the driver rear. I got the driver rear used from a crappy member who screwed me and it had a tiny crack. I used a bunch of high strength rubber cement to fill it and am kinda thinking it won't last. The old one was totally toast, so I guess it can't get worse, but the whole swap is kinda a PITA, dropping the rear sway kinda sucks.

I just don't see how rubber cement will last on a fluid-filled mount. New OEM ones cost $75 each, no? Time is money, why cheap out when you can do it right the first time?

If somebody wants used one I have both fronts and passenger rear, cover shipping and they are yours.
They are from 03 with 70k.

Just buy a new one it takes all of 15 minutes to swap the driver side large mount, which is IMHO the only one that really needs replacing.

Never seen a leaking right side to date. 100% of them have been left side.
