Default Leak-down test

For those that have had this done in the past what was the typical charge for the service?

Is this something you can do yourself or must you take it to a dealership/shop?

you can do this yourself with leakdown gauges. doesnt have to be the most expensive gauges. of course you will need an air compressor also

But if you take it to the dealership, they'll probably charge you an hour - 1.5 hrs labor.

Pls. post your leakdown results, as it's useful information for the rest of us. I had a leakdown done and all cyl. were about 8%. I was worried by that, but interestly enough my compression was at or higher than the stock specifications.
