beroznikmal,
Yes, I did get the custom exhaust.
Parts Cost:
Turbo kit $6200
Exhaust with Apexi N1 and high flow cat $1400
Programmed/tuned AEM EMS $1605
Boost control solenoid $88
Boost gauge $240
EGT gauge $250
Total ~$9783 and 300 rwhp and 200 torque
vs.
Comptech Kit $4895
Mugen Header $1300
Mugen exhaust $1500
AEM EMS $1605
Boost gauge $240
No boost control!
No AEM EMS programming
Rough running engine
Total $9540 and only 285 rwhp and 172 torque
I had the Comptech system. I was very disappointed by how rough it ran. Low rpm power was only marginally improved over stock. Oh, did I say that the supercharger was annoyingly loud. Well, each to his own, but I like the turbo setup much better.
BTW, does anyone want to buy a Mugen header?

CMiS2k,
You are looking at the torque curve ... it peaks before V-TEC. This makes the car much more driveable. You'll notice that the torque picks back up after the V-TEC cam builds rpm. Rwhp is almost linear though.

Porsche518,
Yea, it does look funny at that resolution. I wish I could post the full size version. I guess that the V-TEC cam is tuned for hp and not torque. You'll notice that the whp is almost linear. Regardless, the car does maintain at least 180 ft-lb from 4750 rpm to 8900 rpm. That is pretty impressive and fun.

Why would you install mugen parts with a SC, aren't they designed for NA?
It's unfair to add 3k in NA parts to an SC car then complain it has less whp fo the money.
Apples to apples Turbo has more area under the curve for more money, but about the same whp (in this case anyway).

You guys are missing the point... the area under the curve is where it's at. The SC just can't compete with a turbo in terms of acceleration and power. With the SC you still have not much going on below VTEC... there's a reason ChrisD still has the fastest posted timeslip and it's probably about 1.5 yrs. old now. The turbo will produce more torque and more power earlier in the powerband... there is no disputing this. How much would it cost to make a supercharged car produce 400 RWHP and 250is torque? On a Speedcraft turbo set up... dump in some 116 octane and crank the boost to 12 psi and you're there.
