the AEM EMS needs to utilize bluetooth wireless capabilities....then again we'd probably have people trying to steal each others maps or modifying the current to make motors blow...

Are you looking for OBDII scan tool software that you can run on your laptop? Try www.auterraweb.com

Auterraweb seems to be only for palms. I need one that connects to a laptop.

I thought Auterra made a PC application as well.
Try this one: http://www.obd2.com

Try www.obd-2.com too. Not the same as obd2.com.

I have the obd-2 cable and their free software, seems to work fine. Don't think the "cable" is just a cable, it actually has a protocol converter built into the connector, so it's not like you can download the free software and just make a cable.

I've been eyeing this one. But I would love more expert suggestions.
