Default labor for timing chain tensioner

hi. i'm getting the tct replaced at 28,000 under warranty and the dealership says it takes 3-4 hours to do this. after warranty i'll have to have it done again, so i want to know if this labor estimate is correct? it sounds high to me and would be expensive. thanks.

I can do it in under 20 minutes on my car, so I think 3-4 is a tad on the high side

your replacing it already??? PeanutButter is correct, you could get it done in under 30/45mins even if your not mr. goodwrench.

mine told me itll be about 180 for the TCT and about 200 for labor...so i just bought it n did myself, took roughly 10mins

i'm up at work right now(honda world) and i just looked up the time warranty would pay us and it's .4 of an hour. We always get less time for warranty work, so i'd say around .5 to 1.0 hour tops for doing it out of warranty... Whatever dealership told you that had to look at the wrong thing for the time. It really does only take about 10 to 30 minutes... I would just do it yourself.
