Krank vents and oil leakage
I installed the krank vents on my NA S2K (race car).
I left the pcv inplace and installed the smaller KV between the pcv and the intake manifold. I thin installed the larger KV on the front line and let that one vent to atmosphere.
But I'm getting a fair bit of oil out of the front one. Yes I'm sure I installed them the right direction.
I can installed a catch can on this line but I thought that was part the the purpose of the KV's was so that I didn't need to run a catch can.
TIA.

do you get suction when you pop the dipstick so you know you have vacuum? If you have vacuum, there is no way the vent can leak because the check valve will seal (the little ball in the vent will be sucked toward the engine preventing blowby)
The vacuum is strong enough to whistle if you hold the dipstick just a crack open.

If you install the smaller KV the wrong way, the only exit for blow-by is the front one.
And you'll have no vacuum, as thetz99 mentioned.
Both KV's should flow away from the engine and block towards the engine.

Well you can check by taking them off and blowing threw them. Easy and effective way. But as mentioned before.

I thought that they reduced the amount of oil that came out but didn't completly stop it.

I suppose I can double check that. Not putting my lips on anything that has oil thru it. I assume I can test them with a screw driver right? I haven't looked inside them.

Well you can use your hand as a buffer and just blow threw them that way...holding back from a sexual innuendo.
But a screw driver won't work, I don't think. I thought they used a ball for the valve instead of a plate.
