Default krank vents

hey guys in MY01 i have 80k and have always burned around 1qt every 1000-1500 miles or so. Ive been hearing and reading up on krank vents kits but im wondering if this is okay on a stock N/A s2000? is there any negatives to this at all? does it hurt the engine in anyway? i would like to consume less oil which would be fantastic. thanks in advance.

also would this be what im looking for...

which size should i get?

Wow, my 01 only uses about a quart between oil changes and I drive it fairly hard. But I've heard that it's not uncommon for an engine to use 1 qt within the range that you specify so I don't think there is anything wrong w/ it. I don't know, but if you put that filter thingy in there you may cause an increase in oil pressure and blow seals. Don't know if that will actually happen, just a theory.

i drive my fairly hard as well. vtec daily usually. 1qt per 1k miles is very common. its weird though. my and my buddy have raced mulitple times with his ap2 and we are always dead even at least. when we had the same mods at least. we had identical bolt ons and we where always side by side. his 4th would pull like 2ft and then when he went to 5th my 4th pulled right back. my motor runs fine.

I'm not sure what the reference is to racing the ap2 is about... But you shouldn't have issues with the krank vents. You can save money by using a supra pcv and some tubing/connectors from home depot for much less. The only issue I read about when I had them were faster wear on the valve guide seals.

i was refering that to the compression of the motor. how much faster does is speed up the process of wear on the guides

When i first bought my 2002 s2000 it had 60,000 miles. Compression was perfect and it ran great but it burned 1 quart of oil ever 1,000 miles. I put in the krank vents and now the car only burns 1 quart of oil ever 3,000 miles.

Now i'm turboed with 90,000 miles and everything is still great.

i highly recomend the krank vents because they worked for me
