Well a friend of mine is who used his scan tool on there but I'm uncertain as to what brand he has. It seems like a pretty old system he has but I have seen it work before. Maybe ill drive the car to a garage tomorrow and get them to scan it.
The ecu that I am using is the same one which got the water damage a few years ago. The previous owners "fixed" it. I'm wondering if it could be the ecu it self. I just changed the fuel tank also the previous one was rusted pretty bad.

AEM is coming out with a new generation this year that is smaller, has USB support (yes, the old one uses an old com port), and is supposed to remedy some of the current EMS' failings (like slow start-up and maybe even the temp gauge...and if really lucky, it may have DBW support too).
With the water problem I thought that it might be pointing to the ECU... but there are so many things to look for when it has been water damaged... Go get the thing scanned and see if it comes up with anything.... is there a buddy with another s2000 that you could maybe swap ECU's?? or is that a bad idea?
