send it to hondata to see if they'll test it for free.
if anything, i've seen kpro version 1 go for 550-650.
version 4 is out now and has more features.
your ecu might be fried, but the kpro board might be okay. pull the ecu out and open it up to see if you can see any fried components.

The processor on the rsx ecu is burnt can see it melted but can't tell if the kpro is damaged looks ok.
Hondata said send it in but they're gonna charge 250 to install the s2000 adapter to it and I'm trying to find an rsx ecu to buy myself because they told me its 650 from them. Can't seem to find a used one anywhere though

No worries thanks for the reply I bought a 02 type s ecu today so have to send it to hondata and get them to install the kpro and s2 adapter with the prb ecu. But now the problem is when I get it back there was definitely a short somewhere in my car that caused my ecu to fry and no one wants to help me figure out what caused the problem. Don't wanna just plug in the ecu myself and have it fry again. Every shop I've talked too said they don't want any part of this Stupid Toronto mechanics

That's why electronic/electrical parts seldom carry a warranty. External short will fry whatever you put under the dash. If Hondata is repairing your unit they may be able to isolate where the short occurred.
You need a wiring diagram and hours. Lots of hours. There's an electrical shop manual that may help.
