Koni Yellows (defective?)
I just got a set of Koni Yellows from a fellow s2ki member a couple of weeks ago. I've also read in many threads about how to adjust the things. It seemed simple enough for you to use the white knob to turn the shocks. In my mind before even getting the set I figured it would take about 3 full turns from full soft to full firm. That wasn't the case when I received them.
First thing I did when I got the shocks was use the white knob to turn the shocks and get a feel for how long it would take and how many turns it would be until I reached each end. Problem was...I was able to turn an unlimited number of times. The knob did not stop turning, nor did I feel any kind of tension telling me to stop turning.
I couldn't find any threads relating to this specific issue and I hope this is not a very very stupid question and possibly a repost. Is this normal at all? Do you think I got a defective set? Any suggestions are appreciated!
Thanks s2ki

Are you holding the shaft stationary, or the body stationary while you turn the adjuster? The shaft will spin and spin and spin the the body. Its not good for the shock. You need to hold the shaft in pace (or have it bolted into the car) and turn the adjuster.
Is it the same on all 4 shocks?

All this time I've been holding the "yellow body" part of the shock while turning the knob. I just tried turning the knob while holding the metal rod and the turning came to a stop after EXACTLY 2 turns.
This must be what I was doing wrong...
