Default koni yellows

i installed the tein s springs on oe struts couple of months ago and finally the front left strut is blown... i was thinking about buying the front two koni's first since my budget is tight right now... the rear seems to work fine though... my question is, is it okay to ride koni's in the front and factory ones in the back??? and is it hard to install them??? what oem parts are require to put on the koni's to make it work??? i am no expert when it comes to suspensions... thank u

Koni yellow and Tein S tech are great combos, you can only adjust the rebound of the shocks/struts so it depends on how stiff/smooth/bouncy you want it to be.

Say what? With my own experience (multiple installations AND owning/installing Koni Yellows after using OEM with Eibach Pro-Kit springs) I can tell you hands down that the Koni had enough adjustment in the rebound to give a stffer than stock feel (at full frim) or slightly softer than stock if you dial it back. I also saw no issues with the "so-so" fitment.

The difficulty in install is really not much more than what you had to do for the springs. Still need a compression tool to get them apart, etc. The main difference is setting the ring for the lower perch to either OEM height (upper) or 1/2" lower (lower). So if you did the spring install, you can do the Konis too.

Not too sure where you got your information...

I have the Konis with Swift springs and I like the ride for a street set up. I was crusing on some Tein Flex' for a few years, but I sold them because they were more than I needed for the street, I don't track my car and had no need for all the adjustment...

^ I agree. I also have Swift springs with Konis.

By far the konis are stiffer than stock. Even when they are completely backed off.

Just take your time and make sure you use a spring compressor as it makes life much easier.

Good luck.
