I need help please i turned on my car it was a knocking noise, and after car was on for about a few seconds knocking left. Then when i took off everytime i accelrated knocking noise got lounder. Then i took off from a stoplight and my car just shut off what could it be? i asked around and few of m buddies said it was the rod bearing but now now the car shut off so im worried. What else can it be? I need to fix it asap trying to sell it.

Check oil? Drain oil look for shiny specs?

hate to say this but most likely ur motor is done. I had the same problem. Cold start, you will hear loud knocking sound from the block. after it warms up, it not as noticeable. my motor had damage on the block but the head was still good.
