Good luck friend.

I still have doubts that it's any sort of bearing issue. Bearing issues generally get worse/louder the hotter the oil gets. So on a fully warmed up motor the sound should be more evident than before. Is it still possible that it's a bearing? Yes. Do I think it's likely? No.

A good test would be to dump your oil and have it analyzed. They will be able to tell if there are higher levels of babbit (bearing material) than normal.

It sounds like my old motor when it had bent valves... Not 100% sure though. Is it misfiring at all?

What is the infatuation with sea-foam????? I would NEVER put that stuff in my car, and any customer that requests it I refuse.

If the noise goes away when fully hot its normal.

I just read it from the misfire thread to use sea-foam and i've heard it removes carbon deposits. So i ask my mechanic friend if we can sea-foam the car and he told me yes that's fine so i let them.

And thank's billman for the answer.

My car makes the SAME exact noise and has for a while now. I have an AP1 with an unknown amount of miles on my car since the motor was replaced before 50K. Just had my car with Billman and im sure he would have noticed if the car didn't run or sound right. Id say I noticed the car making the noise between 6 to 8 months ago. No CEL, no poor performance... I too have used seafoam but a very small amount and only once or twice.

However... your car sound MUCh louder than mine does. Im gonna go start my car and take a listen to compare

UPDATE - I just went outside and started my car. I took a good listen and I too have the same exact noise but nowhere near as loud as the videos. Like I said my car has been doing that for a while and im going to see Billman this weekend for a valve job so ill ask him to listen a bit. No CEL or misfire for me so... I dunno...

I have learned when taking videos, prominent noises are amplified.

My car does the same thing, so do most of my customers. It is not as loud as the OP, but I think that is audio enhancement alone. In person I think it will be the same noise level as all s2ks.

In my professional opinion you are fine.

Nice to know Billman, my car makes the same noise when dead cold, it goes away after some revs or when it warms up.
