So I have ordered the 30530-PPL-A01 knock sensor. I will compare it with the OEM one with a scope and see if the signal is comparable or not. Results coming soon!

How will you generate a knock signal for the sensor to tespond to?

I haven't decided to to generate a knock signal, but I will figure that out once I hook everything up.

Use just about any 'computer speakers' to play a specific frequency tone. Compare sensors at various frequencies?

This would have to logged through the ECU though, since having a 'signal conditioner' in line would be needed.

I guess you can do a frequency sweep and graph the resistance or voltage (I don't know which type of sensor it is) change for both sensors.
