K20C1 Crate Motors available to "everyone" now
K20C1 crate motors used to only be available through Honda's racing program.
They just announced last week that they're opening it up to authorized dealers.

And, Science of Speed is going to be an authorized dealer.

Ya saw this, cool beans. I wonder how much power can be had on the K20C1 with basic "regular" mods? Anyone know? Also is the motor as stout as an F20/F22 with forged pistons? I don't know too much about the new motors but I know the "manifold" is integrated into the head which means it won't flow like a lot of NA heads and thus power potential won't be as high. For those looking to make good vs insane power levels should suffice though.
Regarding swapping into an S in particular I'm not sure it's worth the headache, although the answer to the question above could make it justifiable to some. $7k for a full longblock from TB to turbo and alternator I believe is a good price. I gotta wonder how much it'd cost to install into many cars though. I remember evasive was doing this swap but never heard any more news about it. The turbo manifold is on the "wrong side" but maybe it's not too difficult to overcome. Then there's the HPFP, etc. etc.

Stock k20c1 can push around 400whp with stock components. Or what a supercharged f20c boosting around 12-14psi will do. The k20 has much more torque however, and will ultimately be more reliable. Interested to see how they get a much bigger engine to fit in the engine bay.

Headache... probably not for customers; as SOS will be going through the headaches developing to swap.

For sure it'd be a lot better over the stock NA F20/f22. I guess I was comparing it to a turbocharged f20/f22 that probably has similar power. Of course this is an oem brand new engine so apples to oranges but as with everything it comes down to the cost. I could definitely see this being a nice alternative for something like an NSX as well where costs are much higher to begin with.
