What have you heard about a roots blower for the S2000. I read a few things about it a while back but I haven't seen anything since. I would love to have a blower, however, being that I will be returning to school again this winter, I am on a limited budget and even the intake was tough to justify.

Zeniac,
Thank you for the info on the Radmat. I went and bought a roll and carpet tape (outdoor version = a bit more sticky). I still have the OEM airbox installed so that is what I have covered. For the OEM intake tube, I've wrapped it with Reflectix adhesive-backed foil tape.
While I did not take temp readings, I did notice that after a bunch of traffic and some open freeway driving at around 80-85 mph, the ECU did not retard the timing much if any at all. The power delivery felt more consistent even after the engine had the chance to get plenty warm.
I'm definitely pleased with the results of this little afternoon project.

Is this tape insulated?, What did it cost and where did you get it?

The foil tape is not insulated. With regards to the reduced retarding of the timing, I'm thinking this is the case because after the engine was pretty hot due to the driving conditions in which I found myself, I noticed that when I pulled off the freeway and parked to get coffee, the engine was idling very similar to when the car just reaches 3 bars (nice and smooth, relatively quiet). Prior to coating my airbox and intake tube, after the engine got hot and I had been driving in traffic, I found that my engine had a slower, more rattly/tappy sound.
I guess I could be misinterpreting the sound of the engine but I'm pretty familiar with its characteristics as I drive it daily.

I was bored during the Christmas break and so I decided to insulate the intake tube from the airbox to the intake manifold with strips of the "Radmat" insulation material. After wrapping the tube with the insulation I used zipties to hold the insulation on and finished with foil tape. It doesn't look too pretty, but it does insulate the tube and shouldn't come unwrapped.

It may or may not make any difference, but I had all the materials anyway so I decided what the heck, I may as well go for it and see how it looks. My wife thinks I am totally out of my mind... maybe she's right!
