the sound is awesome. it is very quiet, practically unnoticeable at idle and light acceleration. under load/wot/and especially vtec - it really opens up and screams.

get the fipk. worth the money. it's only like, what, $250 shipped.

as far as hp gains go.. i haven't dynoed it so i can't say. throttle response seems better, but that could just be my mind.

I love mine. Under daily calm driving you really won't notice it, but when you get on the throttle it really screams, it overpowers my exhaust at WOT (granted the Fujisubo is quiet though).

I just installed it on my s, I had to make a little slit on the edge and it fit fine, barely noticeable.... At wot it sounds amazing but under partial throttle it whistles... is that normal?

mine whistles at partial open throttle.

to op: you can bend it around the corners, use a flat head screwdriver like someone had previously suggested. i did this to mine and for some reason i came in with like 1 inch of extra stuff... anyway, dont be too worried about it.

somewhat on topic: anyone ever dyno'd the bone stock s2k vs. one with the FIPK? i'm curious to know if they really produce 9.55hp. someone had previously pointed out that the dyno chart up there was for a 2000 model so its an F20 engine on the dyno.

When I installed mine I just got some tin snippers and cut a 90 degree V shaped section out of the metal part of the gasket for the bends and it works fine. Just take your time and you can do the whole thing without cutting all the way thru the rubber gasket.
